Mum School 🦋

Because in a world where we are told being a mum is the hardest job in the world and that mums have higher stress levels than some of the highest paying jobs we are taught Jack shit about how to be a healthy, thriving and confident mum!

I see you mama!

  • Drowning in housework and washing that you aren't allowed to complain about

  • Struggling to find time for yourself and feeling guilty when you do have time for you

  • Wondering how your relationship went from hot and spicy to living as housemates and bickering all of the time

  • Trying to exercise and eat right but once the kids go to bed you demolish a whole block of chocolate all because you haven't had a moment of peace all day

  • Wearing old ratty clothes while you just bought your kids a new cute matching set, feeling bad for spending money on yourself

  • Trying so hard to be the mum who is calm and doesn't lose her shit at her kids

  • Feeling stressed, overwhelmed and anxious but feeling like you just have to deal with it, saying things like “that's just mum life, you just deal with it”

  • Wanting to eat healthy and exercise, but you have no idea where to start and how the hell you could possibly fit it into your day

  • Feeling so tired your brain doesn't feel like it's working properly and nothing you do helps! But also catch 22 is that you also know you need to go to bed earlier but once the kids go to bed it's the only time you get to just chill and breathe!

  • Trying to love your new body, but in truth you don't love it, you don't feeling sexy AF when you get dressed in the morning and you are struggling with your confidence

  • Wondering how the hell to manage the household finances now the household income has dropped but expenses have gone up

  • Struggling to find your village, your community and people who get you

  • Living in survival mode, burnt out by the pressures of motherhood

We hear all the time (hell I've said it 1000 times) “happy mum = happy kids” or “your health as a mother impacts on the health of your kids” or “you can't pour from an empty cup, so look after yourself as the mother so you can look after your kids”! BUT here's the thing I've come to realise,

It's easy to say but it's a lot harder to do when you aren't actually taught HOW to do it.

We aren't taught how to be mums who aren't stressed, burnt out, lost, lacking self confidence and struggling physically and mentally to just get through the day!

A mothers health is complicated

It's not as easy as telling her to drink more water and exercise! Why? Because she’s also feeling guilty for not loving every moment of motherhood, she's wondering how she can bring up a conversation with her partner about their sex life, she’s thinking about the appointments she has to get to, she can’t remember the last time she had 10 min to herself, there's so much noise in the house she feels like her head might explode and all while she’s feeling isolated and judged by society! And you think telling her to simply drink more water will solve all of her problems? Fuck that!

What most coaches don't understand is that a mothers health has so many layers, for a mother to truly thrive we must take into account all areas of her life.

We need to teach her how to

  • Calm her nervous system and cope with the never ending noise at home

  • Find pockets of time in the day for self care

  • Communicate with her partner and navigate their changing relationship

  • Find her new self as she transition from maiden to mother

  • Cope with mum guilt

  • Slip into her feminine energy and feel sexy in her own skin

  • Organise her home and daily chores to reduce stress and decision fatigue

  • Organise the household finances

  • Create life work balance

This is where Mum School comes in

I have created a unique approach to a mothers health called The wheel of life for mothers. A holistic approach to a mothers health. Within Mum School you will have access to resources, lessons, education and activities for each area of health to help TEACH you how to be a mother who puts herself first instead of just expecting you to know how to do it and making you feel bad for not being that mum! But that's not all, each month there will be a live education and coaching call from various experts who are going to help you navigate the complexities of motherhood. From personal trainers, Human Design, psychologist, parenting experts, breath work sessions, trauma release sessions, pelvic floor coaches, relationship coaches, financial planners, advisors, and so many more! Plus a village of mums just like you who are looking to learn how to be a mum also!
